Spiritborn - Nerfed but Still Solid
The new Spiritborn class took some nerfs going into Diablo 4 Items PTR:
Jaguar Primary Spirit Hall was nerfed, hurting top Season 9 builds.
Quill Volley dropped in effectiveness.
Crushing Hand and Rake builds are still strong, with Rake likely staying near the top.
Winners this patch:
Evade Spirit builds are climbing, thanks to buffs to Eagle Spirit Hall (guaranteed crit every other cast + 20% vuln damage).
With chaos armor, Loyalty's Mantle can move into new slots, enabling strong synergies with Diablo IV Items like Harlequin Crest.
Some testing is underway with Razor Wings + Gorilla Ultimate, but results are mixed so far.
PTR Verdict: Weaker peak than Season 9 but still competitive.
Class Power Rankings - Diablo 4 Season 10 PTR
Based on PTR testing and community discussion, here's the early Season 10 power ranking:
1. Druid - Broken thanks to Overabundance chaos perk.
2. Necromancer - Blood Wave chaos combo is meta-defining.
3. Barbarian - HoTA and Dual Swing dominate new content.
4. Sorcerer - Hydra is reliable, Fireball remains niche.
5. Spiritborn - Nerfed but flexible with new builds.
6. Rogue - Still trailing, Death Trap is the best option.
Final Thoughts - Season 10 Looks Wild
The Diablo 4 Season 10 PTR is delivering some of the wildest metas we've seen yet. Chaos perks and chaos armor have completely changed the build landscape, with Druids and Necros looking unstoppable, Barbarians bouncing back strong, and Sorcs holding steady. Rogues and Spiritborn lag behind slightly, but every class has at least one competitive build for Infernal Hordes.
Of course, much of this could change before launch. Blizzard will likely nerf Overabundance, tweak chaos armor limits, and buy Diablo IV Items adjust scaling bugs. But right now, PTR testing gives us an exciting preview of what's possible-and what may dominate Season 10 when it launches.
