Blue Jackets Dubinsky suspended one game for Sidney Crosby cross-chec
Blue Jackets forward Brandon Dubinsky was suspended one game for a cro s-check on Penguins forward Sidney Crosby on Friday night, theNHL Department of Player Safety announced on Saturday. Dubinsky and Crosbywere battling around Fred Kendall Jersey the Blue Jackets net during the second period and once in front of the net, Dubinsky delivered a cro s-check to the back of Crosby's neck. The hit broke Dubinsky's stick and left Crosby in a heap on the ice. Crosby left the game, but came back in the third period. MORE: | In its explanation of the suspension, the DoPS says, "While Dubinsky's cro s-checkis not overly violent or forceful, it is an intentional strike to an opponent's head using his stick. This is not a case where the head contact was caused by a sudden movement by Crosby or by a stick riding up a player's back or shoulders and making subsequent contact with the head. In addition, once Crosby is down and no longer an offensive threat, Dubinsky delivers an additional cro s-check to his body." Kevin Mcreynolds Jersey
